Happy Birthday, Baby!

Katie's birthday party was a success! Only one of the four families we invited came, but the kids had a great time, and the adults got to do a lot of chatting. Our next door neighbors, whose child is grown, came over too, so technically it was two families. Anyway, we had More than enough pizza and sandwiches and chips and cake, and there were enough chairs for everyone to sit down. The kids played "toss the ball into the cat's mouth" and "hit the pinata," and then played happily on their own for a couple hours. No one got hurt and no one cried, and the dog didn't run away when the gate was left open. It was a very nice party.



I made this cake according to Katie's directions. Isn't he cute?Travis picked this out and bought it for Katie. I don't think he could have Stood waiting one more day for her to open it, he was That excited.

Katie's friends gave her a beautiful picnic hamper, with metal plates & cups, a tablecloth, and napkins. It will be perfect when we go for picnics at Stone Mountain.

Today is not really Katie's birthday. Her birthday is really on Tuesday. Today is really Ed's birthday. Here he is modelling a new outfit from my parents. Happy Birthday, Sweetie!
