Our book group has switched days, from Fridays to Mondays. I'm not sure how this will work out. It has been very hard to get much schoolwork done on Fridays before or after the book discussion/playtime/lunch routine, but Fridays are traditionally a sort of unproductive day anyway (at least for me!), so this hasn't seemed So bad. However, Travis is a bear on Monday mornings -- cranky and slow -- so maybe book discussion will be a nice way to start the week? I don't know. Anyway, this week, Ed had an appointment in Charlotte on Monday morning, and the ride I thought I had arranged for on Friday didn't show up (a mix-up, undoubtedly my fault), so we had a peaceful and actually fairly productive day at home.
I finally decided that our magnetism study had dragged on long enough (I can tell because the some of the magnets and other little pieces have gotten lost), so we finally started on chemistry today. I think I am going to Love our chemistry program. It has a cooking theme and "open and go" lessons.
Emma is settling in nicely. She figured out the litter box thing immediately, without a single mishap. And to think, I went all those years not appreciating cats!
