Aack! I can't believe my baby is ten today! How did this happen?
He had a nice party at the same park with a river where we had his party last year. Water to splash in is important for a July birthday party! Aside from one of the guests grabbing the loaded pinata as soon as it was knocked down and running off, which was surprising and a little dismaying, everything went as planned. The weather was overcast but there wasn't more than a little drizzle, and we had the park to ourselves. Travis says the party was just what he wanted, so that was good!
The children's godmother, Auntie Diane, who lives in Florida, visited for the day. We haven't seen her for two years, so this was a wonderful treat! She made sure everything ran smoothly for the party, and I picked her brain a little about school stuff, and we talked. Katie reminded her how to play Chinese Checkers, and her loving Auntie returned the favor by trouncing her in a game. We had fun.

Happy birthday! John turns ten this year too, just ten days later than Travis.
Happy Birthday, mama! Just wait 'til one of your own puts a 2 in front of that 0! I thought I'd walk around with a bag over my head that day...
But I survived.
It looks like your boy had a great time turning 10!
Happy birthday! Jared turns 12 this year, but after Elisheva's comment, I refuse to complain. :}
My eyes played a trick and I thought your title said "teen-ager" and I about fell off my chair. I thought, "Man, I didn't realize Travis was 13 already!" Sorry to rush things for ya! ;)
Happy birthday Travis!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
Ten... this is the year of redemption and hope (for us moms), isn't it? *squeal*
