Of Markets and Beards

The headline of our local newspaper yesterday morning was something to the effect that our city made it to the list of the top 10 in the country for having over-valued house prices. Talk about things one would prefer not to see on the front page of the newspaper right before putting one's house on the market! I'm not sure exactly what "over-valued" means, either, since it is the buyers who are valuing the houses by the prices they are paying. Our house, with its big yard, and shady oaks, seems so much nicer than all those cookie cutter boxes on postage stamp lots that people are paying an arm and a leg for these days!

Ed committed the yearly shaving of the beard yesterday. I wish he wouldn't, since I think the beard is a good look for him. I told him that he would need the beard for warmth when we move up north, but, apparently, he was unconvinced. He wants me to post before and after pictures, so that the blog-reading world can vote for his best look.
