Ed spent most of the day in bed again, 
and the rest of us slept late and then played with our new toys (and I've now made enough EasyBake pizzas to do me very well for the rest of my life). Ed finally rallied late in the afternoon, and suggested to the children that we should go across the street and practice with their new skates & skateboard. We bundled up and gathered all the gear, but we hadn't gotten to the end of the driveway before we noticed that, with the wind whipping around, 50 something degrees felt awfully cold. Poor Ed's delicate constitution couldn't stand the arctic blasts for more than about half an hour, and my own ears were about frozen by the time we got back in the house. We did get some nice fresh air, though.
