Our yard is full of birds, my newly planted bareroot plants are (mostly) leafing out, and it is warm enough to work outside in short sleeves. My flower bed has been wanting a nice mulch blanket, so yesterday Ed talked to a man down the road who sells mulch, and within half an hour I had three "scoops" of lovely tree bark piled in my driveway. I have no idea what he scoops with, but it is quite a pile (delivered in a dump truck), and very reasonable, too (no delivery fee, as he is close and a nice man). Now I just have to get it spread.
K.'s t-ball game was rained out last night, which has been the routine lately. We figured the game would be cancelled (black sky, internet weather calling for rain, amazing psychic powers), so we called the coach and told him that our snack contribution would be on the front porch (we offered to bring it to him, but he drives right past our house) and went into town for dance and Ju Jitzu. The kids had fun, Ed remembered to bring his defunct computer so the Ju Jitzu teacher can have a look at it, and I got to read a little of A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court, which is my next book group book.

"Amazing psychic powers"! ROFL. I love it.
Sounds like you're finding a nice groove there. Feels good to have a little Boring sprinkled in here and there, doesn't it?
