Yesterday was our tenth anniversary. We spent
the day out in Winston-Salem, visiting the science museum, eating Chinese food, etc. The kids treated us to exceptionally good behavior, and everything went perfectly. Until I came home and tried to blog about it, that is. I spent an inordinate amount of time writing what was, if I say so myself (and I might as well, since no one will ever be able to read it and dispute the claim) a really good entry about our marriage and the wonderful day we'd spent, and I was finishing up by uploading my pictures when Blogger inexplicably zapped my entire post. My best post ever, about one of my best days ever, irretrievably lost. (And there is no point now in suggesting that I could have retrieved it, as T. helpfully did, because I didn't do any of the clever things I might have done, and it really is too late now.) It was a great day, anyw

***The strange chair device is some sort of a vacuum powered lift. The kids would have happily played in it all day, and even I found it fun to be able to press a button and be lifted above my clamorous darlings. The otter is one of a pair that live in the environmental center. They were the friendliest, most frolicsome otters I've ever seen. The picture with the children and the geese is pretty self-explanatory. The kids were trying to catch the geese, and they got surprisingly close (I suspect the geese would have had no trouble defending themselves if they had been caught, but it didn't come to that.)

Oh, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! Isn't it wonderful to take a day to slow down, enjoy it all, reminisce, and remember what started this wonderful mess in the first place? Here's to another amazing ten years!!

Happy Anniversary! Sounds like a nice day, up until the blogger part, of course.
Thank you! We are very lucky.
Happy Anniversary! Has it really been that long since that surprising day! I'm so happy that you all had such a wonderful day, may there be many more just as happy ones.
