T. had his last ball game tonight. He will be too old for coach-pitch next season, and I think he has decided that Little League wouldn't be his cup of tea (our wonderful coach and other people have told us that our local Little League coach and parents have a reputation for being savagely competitive, even among the other ridiculously competitive teams in the area), so this will probably be his last as well as his first year of baseball. He tried hard (at the hitting part, anyway), and finally got a hit in the last inning. It was close, but he made it safely to first, and then second before the game was over. We were all pleased that he got to finish with a good game.
