Summertime, and We Have to Share Our Playgrounds

Ed noticed when he checked the weather report today that the next several days are supposed to be stormy. Our internet weather site is nearly always wrong, but, just on the off chance that they might be right for once, we decided to take advantage of our hot, sunny day and go play in the stream at Stone Mountain. There were two other families at our swimming place when we got there, and the kids had a marvelous time. I waded in to see what the water was like, but, as it was just like stepping into ice water, I quickly retreated to a comfortable rock and got in a little reading.

Oooh! Looks like so much fun!
Even with all of our rain, lately, there is still only one continuously running stream in the Sandias. It is a bit of a drive, too!

But you have inspired me! Next week..first sunny day...we go to Las Huertas Canyon!

Hope you got some good reading in!

That river looks divine! I bet the children had a ball.
