The kids are doing vacation Bible school this week at a Baptist church where some of our homeschooling friends attend. They are having a great time, but the program runs from 6:30 to 9:00 in the evenings -- prime Olympics watching time! As a consequence, we are staying up too late, trying to catch a little gymnastics, and this morning we watched swimming instead of doing math. For some reason, the only sports that are ever on when we get a chance to watch are beach volleyball, swimming, and gymnastics. (No equestrian events ever, of course.) Katie has become quite keen on Michael Phelps.

We are boycotting the Olympics, but we do get around to the sports page! I am impressed with Phelps in many ways.
