On Saturday, some friends of my parents who live in Tennessee stopped by to visit for a while. We had lunch and a couple hours pleasant conversation. My daddy is on the left in the picture, and my mom is second from the right (wearing the oh-so-flattering Hermione Granger wig). I think we can now put to rest the question of where my children got their genes for excessive silliness.
Sunday was rainy and we mostly played inside. Katie and I did take Paba (Katie's name for my daddy) for a little walk, so we could show him how very beautifully slidey and sticky North Carolina red clay is when wet.
Today we went to SciWorks, in Winston-Salem.
This is a very lovely exhibit in the section about the human body. You see those long red things at the fore of the picture? Those are intestines. The children got to climb in and pull out all of that happy looking doll's internal organs. How sweet. And, tragically, Ed was eaten by the skull of a Tyrannosaurus Rex.

Poor Ed. I'm very sorry. ;)
Andie,
Yes. It was very unexpected.
Looks like fun!
I was thinking "that must be a wig" and then thinking "Maybe it's Not a wig." and then feeling sorry for the poor woman who had to tame that hair every morning.
I am so glad it is a wig! :)
