Homeschooling Post

We are adding some subjects to our light summer schedule this week, very gradually working back up to the full schedule we will have in the fall.
Recently, Travis has been working in the Key to ... Fractions series (which is all review at this point, but he needs the review), and also playing the Vroot and Vroom Singapore math games. He is a little more than halfway through Writing Tales II, and we've been reviewing and finishing up Latina Christiana I. We sporatically work on A Greek Alphabetarion. Katie has been finishing up Horizons K 2 math, Explode the Code 2, and Hooked on Phonics set 3. She does some copywork for fun.
As of this week, Travis is starting Spelling Power, and both children are starting on Andrew Pudewa's poetry memorization program. I was planning on starting penmanship for both kids as well, but my printer has gone wonky (gray lines all over the pages -- I think it is the drum) and I print out their copywork, so we may start Bible Study Guide for All Ages this week instead.

The first three poems of the 76 are very, very easy, but then they get much more challenging.

*The video is backwards! I turned the camera sideways while filming, and clever Travis turned the picture rightside up in Windows Moviemaker for me, but he also accidentally reversed the picture. If you are familiar with the room it is a little disconcerting, but otherwise, of course, you'd never know the difference.
