It rained yesterday, and then all day today. It has been so dry here, so even when I noticed a couple slugs crawling up the wall near the lake in our basement I was pleased.
Then we noticed this.
Yup. The roof is leaking in the back room, and the wall over the window is splitting open. Can't manage to be pleased about that.
Things were looking sort of bleak around here, and then I remembered that I had on hand the ingredients for Ed Bars. Our roof is still leaking, but our outlook is improved.

Melora,
I'm so sorry. It did pour yesterday, horrifically. I have not done a ceiling check though. Good luck and I hope that it is something that can be done simply.

Leaking here too. Pass the Ed bars, please. :-)
Amy,
Thank you! I hope so too.
Melissa,
I hope your leak is easily fixed!
Good luck finding an available competent roofer--and I mean all of it quite sincerely.
Those Ed bars look wonderful though.
They might be worth springing a leak for!
HOW do you make Ed Bars?!?!? Those look fantastic! Is the recipe proprietary, or can you share?
So sorry to hear about the leak. (And the subsequent problems with finding a competent roofer - other post.) I do hope you get it fixed quickly!!

Elisheva,
Thank you! I'll take your "good luck" in the spirit it was intended!
Dy,
I'll send you the recipe -- they couldn't be easier!
