Mud, Lovely Mud

Today was all beautiful blue skies, cool breezes, and birds singing. Absolutely marvelous. The only evidence of our three days of rain is the nice wet ground, large fallen branches all over the yard, and mud. Lots of mud. Ed and the kids went across the street to ride bikes in the baseball field and came back with a nice coating of orange clay. (Ed wasn't muddy. Just the kids. Ed is very fastidious.)

With the sun is shining and the weather forecast showing no rain in sight, our leaks and drips of yesterday don't seem so worrisome. If they continue to only "act up" in exceptionally rainy weather, we may continue to ignore them for a good while.

My flowers appreciated the rain.

Mud is good fun, isn't it?

I do hope you are not saying that you have 16 inches of water in the basement. And I hope you can get the roof fixed without too much trouble!

Good luck on the new floors!

Finally, we are planning to bet Blockus for Hannukah! Don't tell N.

Anyway, maybe they will lift the fire ban.
