Useful Inventions

Poor little K. was sick all Sunday night, and also most of Monday. She slept most of the day, but perked up enough by Monday evening to critique the haircut I gave T. (She said it made him look "very adorable.") By bedtime, her digestive woes seemed to be past and her fever was down.
This nifty device is a Dinosaur Distractor, which K. made out of scrap wood as a gift for her Paba. According to K., "If a dinosaur is coming after you, you throw the distractor, and the dinosaur will be distracted. He will play with it, and then he will be a nice dinosaur. The only dinosaur it won't work on is a T-rex, because he is too, Too hungry."

T. tells me that he is dressed as Sasuke, a Japanese cartoon character, in this picture. Apparently, Sasuke wears his bathrobe knotted around his middle. I'm pretty sure he doesn't wear his mother's brown clogs, but, as T. informs me woefully, authentic looking costumes can be very expensive. I guess I'm glad he's willing to compromise on the details. Anyway, the picture is really just to show how much hair I got to cut!

I love the idea of a dinosaur distractor! I will need to procure one post-haste!

And both of them are absolutely adorable. Especially her--sleeping. They always look like little angels then.

Hope the virus is away and gone for good!

I love that haircut! He is adorable.

And a dinosaur distractor is great stuff! She must be a very creative little spirit. ;)

I hope no one else in your house gets sick!

Thanks! The dinosaur distractor is an awfully good idea, and the prototype is painted in pretty colors. I think it could be a big seller on those late night tv commercials, if only we could find a good dinosaur actor.

The virus Seems to have left our house!

I'm so sorry K was feeling poorly. E has been all out of sorts the last two days and I am afraid she is beginning to come down with something. But, I doubt mine would be that still.

T's haircut is great. And, I have to say he does look like some of those anime characters - although I'm not very knowledgeable about it.

Your kids have great imaginations.
