A Perfect Christmas

"Santa brought me chocolates! That is Exactly what I wanted!"

I thought I would wow the kids by showing off my Slinky skills. Turns out that I have no Slinky skills. Katie's robo-cat was hidden behind the tree. Through a minor miracle, he didn't meow once until I pointed out to Katie that she had one package left and she picked it up. She was so excited!
Harry was very pleased with the catnip mice Travis gave him. Travis's godmother know what boys like!

I got a make-over, thanks to the Deluxe Beauty Kit that Katie has wanted ever since we first read Ruby's Beauty Shop. So did our neighbor, who stopped by this evening for a cup of coffee and wound up with a manicure.
Dinner, which we ate at 2:00 because that is when the turkey was done (and Heavens, it was tasty!). This meant only having to wash up for two meals, since no one was hungry in the evening. Yay!

You can't see much of Prince Charming (those are his legs), but he was being romantic, the way he is, and carrying Barbie (or Princess What-ever-her-name-is-this-time) around. The Island Princess cat and raccoon (I think it is a raccoon) also appear to be romantically involved.

The kids finally got the Slinkies going, despite my failure as a teacher.

I like manicures! Where do you live, exactly? :)

And I am sure that the slinky-experts in your family can teach you slinky skills. Or try to, anyway!

Looks like you had a great day!

Melissa & Elisheva,
I believe Katie has a fair number of openings in her beauty shop schedule, so we can fit you in for manicures whenever you stop by our little corner of NC!
We really did have as close to a perfect Christmas day as I can ever remember.

Momof3FeistyKids & Jennifer,
Thank you both for stopping by, and for the good wishes! According to the Episcopal church, it is still the Christmas season until January 5th, so merry Christmas to you!
