Ed's dad had his heart catheterization today. I guess his works are pretty gummed up, as they now say he will need a triple bypass, which will be scheduled next month. Ed says he seems in tolerably good spirits, considering, but asks for our prayers.
School is going pretty well this week. The writing lesson portion of our Monday co-op ran long, an hour instead of 45 minutes, and the children in Travis's group, except the one who was public schooled for quite a while, got very twitchy. Our new plan calls for a book discussion one week and then a writing lesson the next, and, this being the first writing week, our teachers (I'm thankful not to be teaching writing to the group) didn't have a very good feel for how long their lesson would take. Logic and drawing got rushed through at the end, but overall I think things went well.
Katie was stung on the neck by some sort of wasp (I think it was a spider wasp, but I'm not sure) last night. There was much drama, but Travis very sweetly cheered her up, and this morning there wasn't even a mark left on her neck.
