She Will Have to be a Very Exceptional Girl!

Travis planned his wedding reception today (while he was supposed to be working on a composition, but that is another issue entirely).  The menu is rather mindboggling, as is the list of activities (dancing is Not on his list!).  He even has the guest list, which consists mostly of family and the members of our homeschool group.  I asked if he had picked a bride, but he said, "No.  I'll decide on that later."  Thank goodness!*

And, for the curious, here is Travis's wedding reception menu:
Lobster,
Champagne
Rocket ship cake
Cookies
Pie
Cocktail Weenies
Hawaiian Punch

and also:
Ice cream
Chips
Ham
Fried chicken
Steak
Shrimp
Fried Shrimp
Pizza
Bread pudding

and for those who are still hungry there will be:
Biscuits
Ham Salad sandwiches
Barbeque
Cole slaw
Lo mein
Chinese chicken
Egg Rolls
Wontons
and
Salmon

But receptions aren't just about food, are they!  Travis plans for his guests to enjoy a pinata, a water slide, and bungee jumping.

I think you can see why the bride is barely an afterthought at this gluttonously happy event.

*He does like girls, but in a mild, occasional sort of way.  They are interesting, but just not in the same class with Video Games, Television, or, need I add, Food.  Which seems about right for eleven.

I think you need to save that plan to share with "the one" when the time comes. It will make for a good chuckle. Of course some of those activities sound a lot more fun than standing around and hoping Uncle Bob doesn't drink to much and get on the dance floor.
