Happy Pi Day!

My parents came over mid-morning (just the time when we are ready to take a break and have a "little something") and we celebrated Pi Day!

We sang the Happy Pi Day song (which bears a strong but completely coincidental resemblance to the birthday song) and the children read/recited Pi poems (not original, I'm sorry to say). And we ate banana cream pi(e). It was all very mathematical.

Next year I think I will suggest that everyone prepare an interpretive pi dance. Maybe. And Katie has informed me that nine out of ten mathematicians prefer coconut cream to banana. But Ed likes banana and the pi(e) is all gone!
