Dedicated to Science

We are all about science. Really!

Travis had a lab this week where he tracked how the length of the pendulum string affected the time for an oscillation. Emma says that all science should involve swinging bits of yarn! (The top of the length of yarn is taped to the ceiling and there are two erasers tied to the bottom. Just in the interest of full scientific disclosure.)

And when we aren't doing high tech physics stuff, it's because we are exploring the wonders of biology! Katie and I were walking at the park this evening when she discovered this amazing new creature!
I say it's a Polyphemus (Katie prefers the name "Owl Eye") moth. Ed thinks it has a spiderish body and is not a moth at all. Maybe a spider in a moth costume?

Just call her Little Miss Science!
