Saturday

This year we had 4 dozen eggs to color, instead of the usual 2 dozen, so I was very grateful that the kids are more efficient in their egg coloring than I am. I gave them each five cups of dye and two dozen eggs, and they had them all decorated in no time. I did one egg from each of their cartons, and it took me almost as long to do my two eggs, with all my fiddly crayon coloring, as it took them to do all of theirs. As I said, thank goodness for efficient children!

(Here is Katie, blowing one of her eggs dry.)

I meant to spend the whole day getting the house clean (and boiling eggs!), but it was too pretty to stay inside all day. I love the flowers that have popped up around the yard!

It was lovely today, but I would have frozen in shorts and a sleeveless shirt. Katie was very happy, though.

Ed's mom is back in the hospital. Last time turned out to be emphysema, which she already knew she had, but this time she has broken her hip. She has some sort of bone infection, too, so they can't operate until next week. Prayers for her comfort and recovery would be appreciated!

Oh my, prayers for Ed's mom. That sounds painful, I hope that they are able to keep her comfortable.

The photos are awesome. The flowers are BEAUTIFUL. You are ahead of us a few weeks, so that tells me what I have to look forward to.

With egg decoration, I have one super slow decorator and also one who is the Speedy Gonzales of egg decorating.....and one who has almost outgrown the whole thing.(sniff, sniff) Happy Easter!

Sorry to hear about Ed's mom. I will keep her in my prayers.

The flower pictures are beautiful! I am so ready for spring flowers up here but there is snow in the forecast for Thursday. Yippee.
