Hope Springs Eternal...

We got a call last night from a couple who looked at the house about a month ago, and wanted to come back and see it again today, with a mom. They came this afternoon, mom in tow, and really seemed interested. They were asking all about closing costs, taxes, what appliances we would leave, the neighbors, etc. They said they were going to talk it over and get back to us. We’ve heard that before, but this time we think they might really do it. Of course, they not only have to make an offer, but it has to be a good offer, but who knows?

Got some more work today, and the office manager said I may be getting more. Apparently, one of the other appraisers gave notice yesterday that Friday will be her last day. That would make it particularly awkward to give my own notice, should today’s couple actually sign a contract to buy our house. I want, perhaps not quite reasonably, to be able to quit my job and not have my boss upset with me for “neglecting” to mention that we put our house on the market

K. has decided that she, too, will be an artist. She also is very interested in getting married (I guess some girls really do dream of their wedding day for a long time – I didn’t.) Today’s picture shows a happy couple on their big day.

*Just wanted to clarify my post by adding that I am planning to give two weeks notice, when and if we should ever sell the house. I'm just not sure this will be enough to mollify the boss.

Wow, those are quite the eyebrows on the bride ;)

Yes, they are. And her high heels (those are high heels, not chicken feet) are unusual too.

Melora, I loved the picture. It looks like Morticia and Uncle Fester. Good luck with selling the house! Have a great weekend!

She's got a very tall thin groom and they both look very happy indeed.

Good luck with the house x

Oh, the anticipation! Wow. I hope you hear something soon.

And you know, while employers would probably love to have employees who will never, ever make life changes... well, I think they'll just have to accept that when the time comes, you will handle it well and with integrity. That's all you can do, and while I know you'd like to have the boss happy, it's not always in our power to do so. I will pray that the transition goes smoothly. :-)

LOVE the wedding drawing! That is just too cute.
