Can You Name This Fungi?

These pop up all over our yard. Actually, just their very tops stick up above the ground, while most of them is underground. Like icebergs, only different. They become a little more noticeable when their tops split open like a peeled orange. After Ed asked me hopefully this afternoon if I thought they might be edible, I dug some up, cut them open, and googled them. I thought it would be nice if they were truffles (unlikely, but as I've never seen an actual truffle it didn't seem impossible), but I think they are earthballs (Scleroderma citrinum). Not edible. I've told Ed not to eat them.

And here is Bo. Not doing anything special, but he sure is cuter than those mushrooms, isn't he?
