My mom's recipe for "Dump Cake" came in the mail today, and it looked so good that I couldn't wait to try it!
Inspired by the festive cake for dessert, I went hog-wild and made beef stew and homemade crescent rolls for dinner (It was spinach quiche for grown-ups and hot dogs for kids on the menu tonight, but despite rumors to the contrary, I can be flexible and spontaneous! Just not often!) It all looked so good that we ate in the dining room, with a cloth on the table and candles. After eating in the kitchen all summer, the dining room feels warm and cozy for fall.
In other news...
candy corn may be nasty, but they make Great vampire teeth!
