We had our first co-op meeting since the Christmas break today. The boys were a little rusty on their logic and had forgotten to bring (finish?) their To Kill a Mockingbird papers, but overall things went very well. Judging by their readings of their first drafts, this second batch of short stories is going to be better than the first (which isn't really saying a huge lot, but I'd be deeply grateful to Never again have to read stories as awful as the ones they last turned in). Katie's group mapped South America (they are using Mapping the World with Art, and Katie has drawn some very nice maps!) and made this very lovely Indian Elephant!
